Watching—and sleeping under—the Northern Lights from a bed set on an open-air balcony with unrestricted views of the night sky and stars might sound like a scene from a movie, but the new Aurora Bed experience offered by Off the Map Travel makes it accessible for your clients.

Guests staying at the newly renovated Villa Telegrafbukta will have the choice of watching the Northern Lights, as well as sleeping, either indoors or outdoors. The property, located in an exclusive area of Tromso, Norway on the south side of Tromoso Island, is offering the Aurora in Bed experience, which includes a private chef, a personal hostess, a 24/7 chauffeur-driven Tesla, and a private rooftop balcony with a king-sized bed where guests can lie back and search for the Northern Lights. They can even sleep under the Arctic night sky if they so wish.

The bed is outfitted to provide optimal comfort and warmth with layers of sheep wool, pillows and goose down duvets. Guests who opt to sleep indoors can rest in the comfort of the master suite, which offers floor-to-ceiling sliding windows, or in one of three additional rooms. The Villa sleeps up to six guests and all rooms are set for luxury and comfort.

During their stay, guests can also explore the region and the neighboring islands of Kvaloya, Breivikeidet, and the South Lyngen region with their unlimited 24-hour use of the Villa’s chauffeur-driven Tesla. To up the luxury experience, they can also schedule massages and beauty treatments at the Villa or hire a private helicopter or mini-yacht to explore the surrounding fjords, as well as go dog sledding or snowmobiling nearby.

This experience is available from September to March, and a 4-day Aurora in Bed itinerary with Off the Map Travel starts at $3,089 pp based on a group of six guests. Included in the rate are all transfers, unlimited use of the chauffeur-driven Tesla, accommodations for three nights with a private chef, breakfast, dinner, and a personal host/hostess, and adventures such as dog sledding, and a private Northern Lights dinner cruise by a luxury speedboat. All itineraries are customizable, and additional days can be added.
