Scenic Tours, an all-inclusive luxury river cruising operator, will add four new ships in 2016.
In January 2016, the Scenic Spirt launches on the Mekong River sailing an 8-day itinerary between Ho Chi Minh City and the Siem Reap. The 68-passenger ship features 34 large all-balcony one-bedroom suites including separate bedroom, living room and balcony areas, ranging from the Deluxe Suite with a Scenic Sun Lounge to the Royal Panorama Suite, which is the largest on the ship and is designed with separate areas including a bathroom with an extra large tub, a rainfall shower and walk-in dressing room; a bedroom; a living room; and an outdoor forward-facing deck with a daybed, jacuzzi and dining table. The Scenic Spirit also houses four dining venues, a pool deck and bar, a full spa with a sauna and steam room, a bar and lounge, a Sun Deck with an open-air cinema, butler and laundry service, and an elevator.
Scenic’s 2016 European River Cruise program includes the launch of a new destination—Portugal’s Douro Valley—and two Scenic Space-Ships—the Scenic Azure and the Scenic Amber. The 96-passengenr Scenic Azure, which has been custom-built, launches on Portugal’s Douro River in April 2016 sailing the 11-day Unforgettable Douro itinerary from Porto to Vega de Terron. The ship provides the same all-inclusive luxury experiences as seen on all Scenic Space-Ships, including private butler service and unlimited beverages.
The Scenic Aura launches in the Irrawaddy River September 2016 on 10-night itineraries between Mandalay and Pyay. The Scenic Aura features 22 all-balcony suites with a separate bedroom, living room and balcony areas. The Royal Panorama Suite, the largest on the ship, features four separate areas—a bathroom with an extra large tub, a rainfall shower and walk-in dressing room; a living room; and an outdoor forward-facing deck with a daybed and jacuzzi.
