American Cruise Lines is currently offering complimentary airfare on select 2022 summer cruises on the Upper Mississippi River.

The offer applies to 8-day journeys aboard the modern riverboat American Melody sailing on the Mississippi between St. Louis and St. Paul. The five departure dates to choose from are:  Jul. 29; Aug. 5; Aug. 12; Aug. 19; and Aug. 26. The Upper Mississippi River Cruise sails between St. Louis and St. Paul, with stops at Red Wing, Winona, Dubuque, Davenport, Fort Madison, Hannibal and Alton. Highlights include a visit to Mark Twain’s childhood home in Hannibal and a guided visit to the Black Hawk State Historic Site in Davenport. Prices start at $4,615 per person. 

American Melody is the newest riverboat in American Cruise Lines’s fleet. The 175-passenger ship has 91 staterooms, all with private balconies, a restaurant, cafe, skywalk, sun deck and several lounges. In August, the cruise line will add a fifth riverboat, American Symphony, to its fleet.

American Cruise Lines offers 10 itineraries on the Mississippi ranging from a 5-day Highlights of the Mississippi round-trip cruise from New Orleans to the 22-day Complete Mississippi River Cruise from New Orleans to St. Paul’s. 

All of the company’s Mississippi itineraries come with complimentary pre-cruise hotel stays in the desired departure cities that also include luggage concierge and transportation services. They also offer extended pre-cruise packages in certain cities such as Memphis so travelers can make the most of the sights before they embark on their cruise.
