From early-booking specials to onboard credits, cruise lines are rolling out seasonal incentives designed to keep ships full and travelers’ budgets in check for summer and fall sailings.
Explora Specials
Explora Journeys has introduced a limited-time Summer 2026 promotion called A Spontaneous Summer Invitation, aimed at clients ready to book sooner rather than later. The offer applies to select Mediterranean, Western Europe and Northern Europe sailings and is available through May 26.
Guests booking one of the brand’s Ocean Terrace Suites can save up to $2,000 per suite on eligible itineraries. These oceanfront accommodations feature a private terrace and a spacious living area. The line’s ships offer a balance of luxury and flexibility across itineraries that mix well-known ports with smaller, lesser-visited destinations.
Life on board centers around variety and space. The fleet’s culinary program includes nine dining venues, covering everything from intimate specialty restaurants to poolside options. Dining is complemented by a broad beverage program, five pools and a wellness area inspired by the sea.
Each itinerary includes a curated selection of Destination Experiences, which focus on small groups and emphasize access to authentic, locally driven activities and cultural experiences.

Trafalgar
Trafalgar has introduced a new round of savings for its 2026 and 2027 European river cruises through the Spotlight Savings promotion. The limited-time offer includes reduced or waived single supplements and shipboard credits on select Rhine and Danube itineraries.
Solo travelers benefit from waived single supplements on most 2026 Rhine and Danube departures. The supplement is reduced for 2026 Christmas Markets itineraries and for all 2027 sailings. For guests booking a Suite Stateroom on eligible 2026 departures, the offer includes a 1,000-euro-per-cabin shipboard credit. That credit can be applied to optional excursions, spa treatments, specialty dining and other onboard experiences.
Spotlight Savings can also be combined with Trafalgar’s ongoing Best of Summer Sale through May 28. Select itineraries qualify for up to 50 percent off and a $300 flight credit per couple.
The promotion applies to several 2026 river cruise programs, including the 8-day Best of the Danube sailing from Budapest to Passau with visits to Vienna and Bratislava and a Be My Guest experience at the Weingut Nikolaihof winery. Another qualifying voyage, the 10-day Best of the Rhine and Amsterdam sailing from Basel to Amsterdam, includes time in Strasbourg and Cologne, as well as a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER experience at Weinessiggut Doktorenhof. Seasonal Christmas Market sailings along both rivers are also part of the offer.
