As the “Cruise Capital of the World,” PortMiami is constantly welcoming new ships, and 2018 will be no different.

MSC Cruises will host its first-ever U.S. naming ceremony in honor of MSC Seaside, the cruise line’s second new next-generation ship to launch this year and the first MSC ship to head directly to North America from the shipyard. After its naming ceremony on Dec. 21, 2017, MSC Seaside will sail year-round from Miami on 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.

Joining MSC Seaside soon after will be Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Horizon and Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Bliss, both of which are set to dock in Miami in 2018. PortMiami will also welcome what will be the world’s largest cruise ship: Royal Caribbean’s 5,494-passenger Symphony of the Seas.
