Delta Air Lines doubles its Scottish network in summer 2017 with added nonstop flight from New York to Glasgow. According to Scottish Government data, the United States is the number one inbound tourism market to Scotland with almost half a million visitors in 2014.
The new service, which starts May 25, 2017, will operate daily throughout the summer and will be operated in conjunction with partners Virgin Atlantic Airways. The new flight departs JFK at 11:45 p.m. arriving at Glasgow at 11:25 a.m. the following day; and departs Glasgow at 1:00 p.m. arriving at JFK at 3:40 p.m. All flights will be equipped with WiFi and on-demand in-flight entertainment in all cabins.
