In Recommend’s March issue, we gave you some happening news and notes about China, from new hotels to new tours. We’ve put together a few more tours that offer the very best in sightseeing through China.
To be entirely fair, this Adventures by Disney tour is not a new product for the company, but it’s probably one of the best if you have multi-gen clients who are looking for a family adventure in the Far East. Adventures by Disney did add two luxury accommodations to a list that already features The Ritz Carlton, Chengdu and The Shangri-La Guilin; families will now be staying at the Rosewood Beijing Hotel and The Peninsula in Hong Kong. Highlights on this China trip include a private tour of Tiananmen Square and a stroll along the Great Wall; a trip to Xi’an to see the Terracotta Warriors; a visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding; and, while in Hong Kong, families will visit the Stanley Market, ride down Victoria Peak, and ride the Star Ferry across the harbor. Prices for the June 28, 2015 departure are $8,289 for adults, and $7,879 for kids. For more information, visit adventuresbydisney.com.
Pacific Delight Tours made a few changes to its 13-day China Golden Route Gold Experience. Now guests will stay an extra night in Yangshuo to experience its West Street—a 1,400-year-old thoroughfare at the town’s historic center—and stay at the Green Lotus Hotel; stay an extra night in Xi’an to visit the Muslim quarter and the Terracotta Warriors; also, when in Shanghai, visitors will tour “M50”, or 50 Moganshan Road, a contemporary art district where artists’ studios are open to the public. The trip, with hotel stays in Ritz-Carlton and Shangri-La hotels, is priced at $4,799 pp dbl for the May 13, 2015 departure. For more information, visit pacificdelighttours.com.
