The island of Maui has long been a favorite among visitors to Hawaii. With its world-famous beaches, stunning natural landscapes, farm-to-table cuisine, and migrating humpback whales, it represents everything that people think of when they imagine visiting Hawaii. When planning a luxury getaway to this beautiful island, the Four Seasons Maui at Wailea is sure to impress even the finickiest of clients. Arriving at this luxurious property, guests are greeted with beautiful leis when they enter the stunning open-air lobby with jaw-dropping views of the pools and beach. Marbled floors, coffered ceilings, and original local artwork define this beautiful space, along with the most magnificent orchid displays that can be found at every turn. This beachfront resort dons a timeless elegance and can be found in the posh resort community of Wailea. The Four Seasons property sits at the end of Wailea Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Maui.

Wellness on Maui
Entry into Maui requires a PCR covid test regardless of whether guests are flying in internationally or inter-island, and in spite of vaccination status. Once your clients receive their negative results, make sure they open an account with Hawaii Safe Travels, upload the results and fill out the health questionnaire that will provide them with the QR code to enter. It’s a short ask to ensure safety upon arrival at this beautiful island destination.

The Four Seasons Maui has taken several measures to ensure safety and promote wellness during your client’s stay with their Safe on Maui promise. All rooms are outfitted with a state-of-the-art air purification system that sanitizes airspace every 30 minutes, and there is a medical team available to their guests 24/7. Have a client that wants to plan a destination wedding or special occasion? The FS Maui offers simulcast weddings, where couples can share their special moments with loved ones that cannot travel through live-streaming video services. Guests wanting a more private experience with a heightened level of amenities and security can book the Complete Suite Experience, a hotel within a hotel at FS Maui. This unique offering includes an in-suite Peloton bike and a private airport experience for commercial flights from LAX, where guests will enjoy luxury car service directly to their gate and direct access to the aircraft to avoid the public LAX terminal.

Once at the resort, your clients can continue their wellness routines or try a new one with the resort’s many offerings. For example, guests will find a large outdoor cardio area and an indoor well-appointed weight room on property. A more exclusive option is the Private Fitness Studio, which gives guests sole access to state-of-the-art exercise equipment. Outfitted with UV and HEPA air purification filters, the private fitness studio can accommodate up to four related persons at a time and allows for a mask-free workout. Your clients can also get a more exhilarating workout by trying their hand at the ancient Hawaiian sport of canoeing on a private outrigger canoe experience. Pedego electric bikes are also on offer for a more mellow way of exploring the resort’s surroundings.

However, if your clients are looking to relax during their time on the island, the Maui Spa by Four Seasons Maui is divine. They offer a wide variety of indulgent spa treatments and massage options. I highly recommend the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage, and for a truly out-of-this-world experience, have your clients request to have their treatment at one of the open-air hale—an oceanside thatched treatment hut nestled on the cliff above Wailea Beach. It’s pure bliss!

Luxury for All
The Four Seasons Maui offers a variety of contemporary guestrooms and suites, with a casual and comfortable feel. Complete with textured wall coverings and sleek wood furniture in a neutral palette of beige tones and light woods, guestrooms are accented with blues and whites throughout. Luxe amenities include 65-inch flat-screen TVs with a sanitizing pod for the remote, Nespresso machines, and personal iPads to order in-room dining and schedule activities. From mid-January through March, your clients can experience the annual whale migration from the privacy of their guestroom balcony. At any given moment, one can spot whales spout and breach at a short distance—a magical moment they’ll be talking about for years to come!

Ultimate Family Experiences
The experiences at the Four Seasons Maui cater to adults and children alike, and the resort staff prides itself on curating age-specific family itineraries. Children will delight in both the waterfall pool, which is specifically geared towards little ones with shallower areas and a small waterslide, and the iconic fountain pool. As an insider tip, families can book an oceanfront cabana for the ultimate pool and beach day. These oceanview spaces allow for easy access to both pools and the beach path. They include a dedicated butler, a variety of snacks and a refrigerator filled with cold beverages that is replenished as needed.

The Kids For All Seasons club runs a daily camp for keiki ages 5-12, with engaging activities, such a slime-making, crafts, and exploring the local tidepools. Our kids are still talking about the friends they made and the fun times they enjoyed. Meanwhile, my husband and I are still dreaming about their iconic adult pool with panoramic ocean vistas, where we lounged while our little ones were being cared for. Oh and did I mention the amazing shops on-property? The stylishly curated boutiques feel like you’ve had a personal shopper choose the best of island-wear to present to you. Your clients could literally hop on a plane with an empty suitcase and purchase their entire vacation wardrobe upon arrival!

The resort also hosts cultural experiences for the entire family to learn more about Hawaiian culture, such as palm frond weaving and lei making.

Note-Worthy Restaurants
The Four Seasons Maui is home to three restaurants, and each one is uniquely special and worthy of a visit. Spago, the Hawaiian outpost for Master Chef Wolfgang Puck, serves Hawaiian-Californian fusion cuisine with panoramic ocean views. It has been awarded Forbes Four Star and AAA Four Diamond honors. My absolute favorite, DUO Steak and Seafood is known for its mouth-watering, locally sourced steaks and seafood dishes. It opens for breakfast and dinner. Last, but certainly not least is Ferraro’s Bar E Ristorante, Wailea’s only oceanfront restaurant, where guests can enjoy contemporary Italian dishes with a modern flair. Do your clients a favor—advise them to try the tiramisu!
