With an eye on the future, Sunnyland Tour is offering a FAM that features the splendor and mysteries of ancient Egypt. The highlight of the FAM is a four-night Nile River Carnival cruises. The FAM also includes two nights at the Oasis Hotel in Cairo with breakfast.
An excursion in Cairo will include a city tour with visits to the Egyptian Museum where archaeological pieces dating as far back as 3,000 BC are on display followed by a visit to the Bazaar. A fully day optional tour is offered featuring a tour of the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza. You will fly to Luxor where you will be transferred to the cruise ship.
This FAM that leaves on Wednesdays and Saturdays in 2021 costs $549 pp that does not include roundtrip local Egypt flights.
Highlights of this FAM include a free day in Luxor with optional visits to the Luxor Temples, Karnak Temples, Thebes, Valley of Kings and the Colossi of Memnon. Then it is off to Esna where the vessel will cruise through the locks on the River Nile. Next stop is Edfu where there are optional guided visits to Edfu Temple. The Carnival then continues cruising up the Nile to visit the temple of Kom Ombo and the town of Aswan, one of the most mesmerizing towns on the Nile.
There is an option to stay in Aswan or take an optional excursion that includes a Felucca Sailing on the Nile River and visits of the Temple of Philae, High Dam, and the Unfinished Obelisk site. After a flight back to Cairo, an Abu Simbel excursion is being offered that includes visits of the two temples built by Ramses II.
