Sir Richard Branson’s adults-only cruise line, Virgin Voyages, is capitalizing on the growing trend of astrotourism with its new Eclipse Voyages, part of the 2026 Marvelous Voyages collection.
The Eclipse Voyages, scheduled for August 2026, offer 12- and 15-night itineraries aboard Valiant Lady and Scarlet Lady. These cruises will position passengers in the path of totality for the solar eclipse, with stops including Dublin, Glasgow, Reykjavik, the Amalfi Coast, Mallorca and Cannes.
“We already sail to more than 100 international ports, but our itineraries are ever-evolving based on what our Sailors and travel partners are asking for. We’ve graduated from only offering short Caribbean escapes and weekender voyages to give our Sailors longer itinerary options up to 14 nights at more ports around the world. Virgin’s Astral Voyages
On-board experiences will feature space explorers and scientists, galactic observation decks and themed events such as new moon ceremonies and cosmic culinary creations. Your clients will receive solar eclipse shades and a commemorative guide to take home.
The Marvelous Voyages collection includes six additional sailings from March to August 2026, ranging from 8 to 16 nights. These voyages will explore destinations from Iceland to Istanbul and introduce 12 new ports, including Salerno, Edinburgh, Stockholm, Hamburg, Oslo, Tangier and Greenland.
Virgin Voyages reports strong demand, with record bookings for 2025 following a sold-out 2024 summer season in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Loyalty members will have priority access to bookings from Aug. 14-21, with general inventory released between Aug. 21 and Sept. 18.
