Universal Orlando Resort is accelerating its attractions lineup with the announcement of Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, a high-speed outdoor roller coaster set to debut at Universal Studios Orlando in 2027.
The new attraction will replace Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and immerse guests in the action-packed world of Universal Pictures’ Fast & Furious franchise. Designed as a next-generation thrill experience, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will feature ride vehicles that simulate 360-degree drifting, high-speed maneuvers and a signature 170-foot vertical “spike”, sending riders nearly 17 stories into the air.
A version of Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will also debut at Universal Studios Hollywood, with that West Coast attraction slated to open later this year. While both coasters share the same overarching theme, each is expected to offer a unique ride experience tailored to its park.
As part of the transition, Fast & Furious – Supercharged will permanently close in 2027. Additional details about Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, including ride features and opening timeline specifics, will be released in the coming months.
