The Midland Hotel — Chicago
Pyramid Global Hospitality and Tribute Portfolio, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio is opening The Midland Hotel, Chicago, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Formerly the W Chicago City Center, this Chicago Loop hotel is getting a full facelift in two phases—a revitalization of the hotel’s public spaces and later its 403 guestrooms.
The Midland Hotel is located in the Chicago Loop near major landmarks like Millennium Park, The Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Theatre.
“We are excited to collaborate with Pyramid Global on this exceptional opportunity to reposition this Chicago landmark, which holds strong appeal for both business and leisure travelers,” said Thomas J. Baltimore Jr., Chairman and CEO of Park Hotels & Resorts, in a press statement.
Originally built in 1929 as a social club for Chicago’s business elite, the first phase focuses on revitalizing its public spaces while the second phase will transform the hotel’s 403 guestrooms and suites. Other enhancements will be made to the hotel’s restaurant, Midland Social Club & MSC Bar. Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and redeem points during their stay, and to mark its opening, the hotel is offering 15 % off stays through April 30, 2025.

MGM Grand Hotel & Casino — Las Vegas
MGM Grand Hotel & Casino is slated to complete the remodeling of its 4,212 guestrooms and suites—all within its main tower—by December of this year. The $300-million refurbishment project will enhance the overall guest experience by featuring modern and sophisticated design elements in all guestrooms.
“MGM Grand has long been recognized as the center of entertainment and excitement in Las Vegas and these newly remodeled rooms, coupled with new attractions on the horizon, demonstrate our commitment to evolving the guest experience for both leisure and business travelers,” said Mike Neubecker, President & COO of MGM Grand, in a press statement.
The first phase of the main tower’s newly remodeled rooms will be available for reservation beginning March 1. MGM Grand will add 111 suites to its main tower for a total of 753, ranging in size from 675 to 2,572 square feet.
In addition to the hotel’s newly designed rooms and suites, MGM Grand is introducing several new dining venues and attractions. Developments include the opening of Netflix Bites, featuring cuisine inspired by hit Netflix shows, and the summer launch of Palm Tree Beach Club, a tropical-inspired day club.

Hotel Alpenrock Breckenridge – Colorado
Hotel Alpenrock Breckenridge, Curio Collection by Hilton, has officially opened on Peak 9, marking the brand’s first property at a major ski resort. The 205-guestroom hotel, including 24 suites, offers slope-side access just minutes from Breckenridge Ski Resort and a short walk to the town’s historic district.
The hotel features spacious accommodations with kitchenettes in full suites. Amenities include a ski valet, heated gear storage, outdoor hot tubs, a fitness center and an on-site rental shop. Dining options include Edwin, a signature restaurant specializing in wood-fired alpine cuisine; The Carter, an apres-ski lounge; and Canary, a speakeasy-style cocktail bar.
Unique guest experiences include guided art tours, a family-friendly Magical Moose program and a partnership with the Edwin Carter Museum. The hotel also offers a seasonal turndown menu and a historic mining-inspired apres-ski experience.
A Grand Opening Package, available through March 31, includes a $250 dining credit, champagne, valet parking and exclusive gifts.

The Louie at Davenport Hotel – Washington
This March, Davenport Hotels is opening The Louie at Davenport Hotel in Spokane, Washington. With 48 guestrooms, including suites, and Butler Service, the opening of The Louie marks a significant rebrand of the former Davenport Lusso hotel, which underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation and name change.
