Norwegian Cruise Line is launching its first-ever First Responder Discount, offering eligible guests 5 percent off voyage fares across its fleet. The new initiative applies to both active and retired law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and other first responders.
The program complements Norwegian’s existing Military Appreciation Program and Teacher Cruise Discount.
Savings and Discounts for Teachers
“Every day, first responders, teachers and members of the military put others first,” said Marc Kazlauskas, President of Norwegian Cruise Line, in a press statement. “We’re proud to honor them with these new and enhanced deals, so they can enjoy the kind of vacation they truly deserve.”
Norwegian’s Military Appreciation Program already provides active-duty and veteran military personnel in the U.S. and Canada with onboard recognition events, exclusive challenge coins and a year-round 10 percent cruise discount. In honor of Military Appreciation Month, however, the line is temporarily increasing savings to 20 percent off select sailings.
In a first for the cruise brand, military guests sailing on eligible voyages can also extend the 20 percent discount to non-military travel companions booked in separate staterooms. The cruise line is also leaning into the education market following Teacher Appreciation Week earlier this month.
Teachers in the U.S. and Canada can now receive 15 percent off select sailings for a limited time, in addition to Norwegian’s existing year-round 5 percent Teacher Cruise Discount. Earlier this month, educators who booked during Teacher Appreciation Week also qualified for up to $100 in onboard credit.
