Explora Journeys’ Summer 2027 season unfolds from March through November, presenting three industry firsts: maiden Mediterranean calls, the debut of the LNG-powered EXPLORA IV and, for the first time, Alaskan itineraries aboard EXPLORA III. This collection spans over 60 unique sailings across four ships, each designed to deliver generous personal space and thoughtfully paced port stays.
“With the intention of savouring every moment, our Summer 2027 journeys have been thoughtfully crafted, as always, to enable flexibility, extended stays and deeper immersion at a gentler pace,” said Anna Nash, President of Explora Journeys, in a press statement. “We are thrilled to be introducing Alaska for the very first time and to be offering many of our 2027 journeys on two of our ultra-elegant new ships, EXPLORA III and IV.”
Next Up for Explora
EXPLORA IV introduces a fresh standard in luxury cruising, with enlarged outdoor decks and redesigned residences that feature one of the highest space-to-guest ratios afloat. Its enhanced staterooms and social areas reflect subtle refinements in comfort and style.
Meanwhile, EXPLORA I and II will continue exploring the Mediterranean’s shores. Advisors can offer new client possibilities by highlighting calls in Istanbul’s Ottoman-era precincts, Algiers’ historic Casbah and Amalfi’s cliffside villages. Olbia’s archaeological sites and sun-kissed beaches add variety, while newly added Adriatic stops—Trogir’s medieval center and Slovenia’s Toper—make for more extended stays.
The introduction of Alaska is an important expansion. EXPLORA III’s A Journey Through Untamed Landscapes & Coastal Treasures itinerary from Vancouver between May 10–21 offers 11 nights crossing fjords and forested islands, with maiden visits to Sitka, Prince Rupert and Endicott Arm. Its 14-night An Extended Journey Across Alaska’s Wild Frontier voyage from July 2–16 takes clients from the Hubbard Glacier to Kodiak and Alert Bay. Along the way, guests can scan for humpbacks, orcas and other wildlife on the “Whale’s Highway,” kayak in Sitka Sound and enjoy regional specialities such as Dungeness crab. Cultural encounters include guided exploration of totem poles and visits to St. Michael’s Cathedral in Sitka.
