TAP Air Portugal is gearing up to introduce Economy Prime, a new long-haul cabin designed to provide additional space and privacy within the Economy segment, beginning June 1, 2026. The cabin is now available for sale through all TAP channels and travel industry partners.
Positioned between Economy and Business Class, Economy Prime expands TAP’s long-haul offering on both the Airbus A330 and A321LR fleets. The new section reflects the carrier’s focus on comfort and efficiency while responding to shifting traveler preferences for flexibility and a simplified journey.
The cabin features 12 seats directly behind Business Class, arranged in a 4-seats-per-row layout. Each row maintains an empty side seat, creating a quieter setting with increased personal space. That configuration gives travelers more room while preserving an efficient cabin footprint. The goal is a smoother and more comfortable experience for long-haul flights between North America, Europe and beyond.
New TAP Offer Starts at Check-In
Economy Prime adds value even before travelers board. Passengers receive access to Premium Check-in, Fast Track security lanes, priority baggage handling and Premium Boarding. These airport services are designed to save time and streamline the transition from check-in to departure.
In flight, Economy Prime incorporates details intended to set it apart from standard Economy service. Travelers are offered a premium main meal with two hot dish choices, and can pre-select their meal up to 24 hours before takeoff. Amenities include a comfort kit and a premium pillow, underscoring TAP’s attention to practical upgrades that your clients can appreciate on long transatlantic routes.
Frequent flyers will notice expanded benefits under TAP’s Miles&Go program, including the opportunity to earn additional miles, rebook flights more easily and access enhanced refund options.
