National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has announced its river cruise lineup for the 2027–2028 season. The new season spans Europe, Egypt, India and Vietnam, adding new itineraries and expanded capacity to meet growing demand for Lindblad’s river journeys.
In Europe, the Connect will continue to sail Amsterdam’s canals and through the French countryside with its popular spring and summer sailings. Joining the fleet in 2027, sister ship Evolve will debut three new Christmas cruises and one holiday voyage exploring Europe’s Christmas markets. The addition of Evolve extends the co-branded river cruise program into the winter season for the first time.
Guest-favorite vessels will also return for 2027–2028, including Charaidew II on India’s Brahmaputra River, The Jahan on Vietnam’s Mekong River, and Oberoi Philae on the Nile in Egypt, which now includes a stop at the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum.
Expeditions Around the Globe
“Our river journeys invite guests to see the world in a more intentional way—unhurried, intimate and deeply connected to place,” said Natalya Leahy, CEO, Lindblad Expeditions, in a media statement. “We’re thrilled that our new European and Indian river expeditions have been so well received, and we’re delighted to offer even more ways to explore—including festive European Christmas market sailings. Because how you see the world matters, and that’s what makes our river collection so special.”
Each sailing will continue to feature expert Expedition Leaders and Field Staff, offering immersive storytelling and local insights both on board and ashore. The expansion features curated itineraries, exclusive cultural access and exploration for clients who are interested in the National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions river cruise experience.
The 2027–2028 river cruise season builds on a year of growth for the co-brand, following the introduction of new ocean voyages from the Azores to the Arctic.
