Short-stay escapes, and even staycations, are being redefined, focusing on memorable moments and curated amenities rather than lengthy itineraries or distant destinations.

The Muse New York has introduced the Cozy by the Hudson Experience, a seasonal offering that combines a city stay with an outdoor riverside setting. The package includes one night at a hotel near Times Square and a private heated igloo along the Hudson River Greenway, created in partnership with PikNYC.

The enclosed setup is designed for two guests and includes a picnic arranged with menu options that can be customized through food and beverage upgrades. Add-ons range from themed decor, such as balloon garlands, to a bottle of Prosecco or a games package. The experience is weather-ready and intended for comfort throughout the cooler months. Your clients also receive a round of seasonal cocktails at Little Opus, The Muse’s new bar and restaurant, with menus that focus on local ingredients.

The property has a great Midtown location within walking distance to Broadway and Bryant Park. The Cozy by the Hudson Experience package includes accommodations, access to a riverside igloo and drinks for two. Booking is subject to availability, and rates vary by date.

Watching for Whales

Cabo is closer than you think, and the seasonal whale-watching period on the Baja Peninsula brings a limited-time package designed for guests interested in marine life and ocean experiences. The Whale Watching Package at Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, Los Cabos, aligns with the migration of gray and humpback whales that move through the Sea of Cortez during their mating season.

Your clients receive a welcome drink upon arrival and a daily American breakfast along with a 2.5-hour sail that includes a curated meal, a national open bar and round-trip hotel transportation. The guided sailing offers an up-close view of whales that frequent the region’s clear waters between December and April, when sightings are most active. The resort has also added a lighthearted touch: guests dining at its restaurant, Mako, can ring a “whale bell” whenever they spot one of the giant mammals from the property’s oceanfront setting. The experience is for two and includes transportation, meals, and beverages during the sail, subject to availability.
