Holland America Line’s Westerdam is back in service following a two-week dry dock in Singapore, debuting refreshed public spaces, updated accommodations and a reimagined entertainment venue. The Vista-class ship welcomed guests on Jan. 18, 2026, sailing a 14-day Far East Discovery itinerary.
Crow’s Nest Takes Center Stage
Updates were made to the Crow’s Nest, traditionally a multipurpose space offering panoramic views. The venue now features a newly added bandstand-style stage, creating an entertainment hub for live music, lectures and enrichment programming. The space now features enhanced lighting and audio systems that support small-scale performances and speaking engagements.
Stateroom Updates Advisors Can Sell
Accommodations also received enhancements. Eleven new Ocean View staterooms were added on Decks one and seven. All Verandah staterooms on Decks five through 10 received new carpeting, as did Neptune, Signature and Pinnacle suites. Verandah staterooms on Deck 8 underwent full bathroom renovations, including new vanities, mirrors, bathtubs, flooring, and wall finishes. Additionally, approximately 300 other staterooms were refreshed with new bathroom flooring and updated wallpaper.
Public Spaces Get a Polished Refresh
The ship’s Atrium now features new furniture, carpeting and wall coverings, while updated carpet extends into elevator lobbies, guest corridors and the Greenhouse Spa & Salon. Dining venues also saw improvements: Canaletto received a full interior refresh with new carpet and upholstery, Lido Market introduced updated seating and the popular poolside Dive-In unveiled a redesigned food order and pick-up counter to streamline service.
Another highlight is the redesigned Effy Lounge. Now an open-concept space, the venue features comfortable seating and private consultation areas.
