AmaWaterways has introduced upgrades across its fleet for the 2026 river cruise season, reinforcing its focus on refining your clients’ experience. The cruise line announced enhancements spanning accommodations, culinary offerings and onboard amenities.
“AmaWaterways is investing in the guest experience more than ever before,” said Catherine Powell, CEO of AmaWaterways, in a press statement. “Our guests will enjoy an elevated onboard experience, from dining and amenities to specially curated experiences across the fleet. As we grow, we remain focused on ensuring every journey remains unforgettable and true to what makes us unique, while continually raising the bar for those who travel with us.”
AmaWaterways Upgrades
All ships are receiving refreshed exterior paintwork in understated tones and upgraded interior details aimed at comfort and quality. Updates include new linens, robes, slippers, and sustainable bath products from Marie-Stella-Maris. A new retail partnership brings Laura Geller skincare and cosmetics to onboard gift shops. The line also refined its culinary program with a broader range of options that reflect passenger preferences and regional dining influences.
The Chef’s Table restaurants on most ships now feature Italian lunches, while signature dinners by Culinary Director Chef Robert Kellerhals highlight the dining schedule. Onboard lounges, renamed The Lark, feature a “Savor at The Lark” all-day menu with snacks and light fare. Your clients also benefit from new house-made bread varieties baked daily and snack jars offering protein balls, muesli bars, nuts, dried fruit and cookies.
Wine continues to play a central role in the onboard experience. Each sailing includes more than 30 complementary red, white and rose selections, with premium bottles available for purchase. On select itineraries, guests receive regionally crafted chocolates from local artisans, including Austrian chocolatier Johannes Bachhalm, noted in the Gault & Millau guide for his work along the Danube.
AmaWaterways sailings include all onboard meals, wine and beer with lunch and dinner, the Sip and Sail cocktail hour, and up to six guided shore excursions per port. Guests have access to complimentary Wi-Fi, soft drinks on most European ships and a dedicated Cruise Manager throughout the journey.
A refreshed line of branded onboard merchandise reflects AmaWaterways’ updated design direction, part of the company’s ongoing investment in visual identity. The 2026 season marks an expanded approach across the fleet, integrating design, service, and dining innovation into every itinerary.
