Magazine and lifestyle company ELLE will open a pair of new boutique hotels this fall, the Paris-based brand’s first foray into the hospitality business. The first ELLE Hospitality hotel, Maison ELLE, will open in Paris in fall 2022. The ELLE Hotel will debut in Jalisco, Mexico in summer 2023.
“Central to the brand’s DNA and heritage, ELLE Hospitality celebrates women, design and craftsmanship, while conscientiously adapting to the environment and culture of each location where they are,” according to a company press release. “ELLE’s venture into the hospitality industry will become a revival of their existing magazine experience. These hotels will play a strong role in immersing the guests into everything ELLE demonstrates throughout their iconic magazines.”
Interior design and architecture featured in the magazine will play a prominent role in the look and feel of the new hotels. Maison ELLE, located in Paris’ 17th Arrondissement, will be owned and operated by French hospitality company Valotel. Close to the Arc de Triomphe, the hotel will have 25 guest rooms and suites and a spa.
The first ELLE Hotel will open on the Pacific coast in Mexico’s Jalisco state and involve the talents of local female designers.
“We are thrilled to launch ELLE into the world of hospitality,” said Constance Benque, chair of ELLE International and CEO of Lagardère News, in a press statement. “Our brand’s success to date has been thanks to our innovation, our special relationship with women and we are proud to continue to challenge the status quo, as we enter a new era of travel. Our two concepts … will present exciting gateways that will allow guests to see the destinations through a new lens and through ELLE’s vision.”
