Villa Beatrice: A Riviera Retreat
Set to open in July 2025, Villa Beatrice will join Belmond’s portfolio as one of the most exclusive private villas on the Italian Riviera. Perched on Punta Caiega above the Gulf of Portofino, this fully restored family palazzo offers guests privacy with luxury amenities.
The meticulous restoration, led by interior designer Martin Brudnizki and landscape architect Marco Bay, preserves the villa’s frescoes, original ceilings and heritage antiques while incorporating contemporary artworks and Italian craftsmanship.
The villa accommodates up to ten guests across five spaces, including La Casetta, a secluded one-bedroom cottage amidst citrus groves. Features include a subtropical sea garden, plunge pool with sun deck, gym, yoga pavilion and expansive terraces for al fresco dining. Guests can also enjoy butler service and a private chef upon request.
Nestled within a protected national park, the villa offers panoramic views spanning Paraggi, the Cinque Terre and Portofino Bay.
“Our vision for Villa Beatrice was to create a space that merges modern sophistication with Ligurian heritage, where every design element tells a story,” said Martin Brudnizki, Founder of Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, in a press statement. “The result is a cherished family villa with a relaxed yet luxurious ambiance.”
In addition, Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, will continue its evolution revealing a renovated main building with new guestrooms and communal areas, including a restyled cocktail bar, coffee bar, lounge bar, breakfast area, retail space, champagne display and Dior Spa. This new wellness space includes four treatment cabins and a relaxation space on a roof terrace.

The Thinking Traveller Expands to Tuscany
The Thinking Traveller, the villa rental company, is unveiling its latest collection of exclusive properties in Tuscany, Italy, marking its fifth region of operation. Known for its curated, luxury homes in Sicily, Puglia, Greece and Corsica, the brand now introduces travelers to the lesser-known Tuscan Coast—from the Versilian Riviera to Monte Argentario—and the iconic Tuscan countryside near Florence, Siena and Val d’Orcia.
The curated collection includes Villa Talamo—a sprawling 18th-century former monastery that has been restored to create an enchanting Tuscan home in a private 10-acre estate on the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea, complete with lush gardens, private sea access and views of Giglio Island.
On Argentario Island, Villa La Cacciarella is an interior masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship—designed by Emily Fitzroy and former Soho House lead designer, Vicky Charles of Charles & Co. Surrounded by tranquil, verdant hills, the 5-bedroom Casetta Firenze epitomizes Florentine country chic and is the perfect base for exploring the myriad architectural, artistic and gastronomic wonders of Florence.
Each property is exclusive to The Thinking Traveller and embodies a perfect blend of historical charm, modern sophistication and bespoke service. Amenities include lush gardens, private sea access and attentive staff.
Guests can also rely on local specialists to craft bespoke experiences, from vineyard tours and guided city explorations to discovering hidden beaches along the Tuscan archipelago. With its debut in Tuscany, The Thinking Traveller offers an invitation to explore the region’s quieter, unspoiled corners, combining coastal relaxation with cultural richness.
