Cruise lines are enhancing the guest experience across their fleets with major ship renovations and exclusive offers. Oceania Marina undergoes a full makeover, Carnival Pride returns to Baltimore and Star Clippers waives the single supplement for solo travelers on select 2026–2027 sailings.

Ocean Marina Makeover

Oceania Cruises announced plans for a comprehensive renovation of Oceania Marina. Scheduled to enter dry dock in October, Oceania Marina will undergo a full enhancement, which is the first in a series planned as part of the line’s OceaniaNEXT program, an all-encompassing initiative committed to continually enhancing the guest experience.

The refurbishments include all staterooms with new layouts, furnishings and bathrooms featuring marble finishes and spacious rainforest showers. The ship’s Penthouse, Oceania, Vista and Owner’s Suites will be refreshed to maintain consistency with their recent enhancements

In addition, public areas including bars and lounges will feature updated furnishings, plus new carpeting and lighting. Plus, the Grand Lounge will feature the Founders Bar. A new Chef’s Studio will replace the former Artist Loft and The Bakery will be added to the ship’s coffee house, Baristas. Signature specialty restaurants Polo Grill, Red Ginger, Toscana and Jacques will be enhanced with refreshed design and state-of-the-art galley improvements.

Carnival Pride Returns 

Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Pride returned to service in Baltimore following a 22‑day dry dock in Freeport, Grand Bahama, unveiling a series of enhancements aimed at elevating the guest experience.

The ship’s casino received a contemporary refresh, appealing to onboard gaming enthusiasts, while retail spaces were upgraded throughout the vessel. Highlights include a revamped Effy Jewelry boutique, featuring a curated selection of fine jewelry designed to engage shoppers.

With renovations complete, Carnival Pride resumes year‑round Baltimore departures, offering 7‑day sailings to The Bahamas and Bermuda, along with select Carnival Journeys itineraries to more distinctive destinations. Voyages now include stops at Celebration Key, Carnival’s newest exclusive destination on Grand Bahama.

Star Clippers Waives Supplement for Solo Travelers 

Star Clippers is offering solo travelers an exclusive opportunity to sail without the typical cost barrier, waiving the single supplement on select 2026–2027 departures across its fleet of tall ships. The promotion applies to a curated collection of Mediterranean, Caribbean and Costa Rica/Panama itineraries.

Eligible solo guests can book Category 4, 5, and 6 inside and outside staterooms with no single supplement, while a reduced 25 percent supplement applies to Categories 2–3. The offer is capacity-controlled, valid for new bookings only, and limited to residents of North, Central and South America.

Itineraries range from five to 14 nights. Solo travelers can join guided shore excursions or explore independently, with many destinations within easy walking distance of the port.
