Carnival Cruise Line has launched what it calls the cruise industry’s first fleetwide linked lottery, connecting participating ships across North America and Europe in a coordinated daily draw offering guests the chance to win up to $1 million.
Carnival Millions leverages real-time interactive technology to create a shared onboard gaming experience spanning multiple vessels simultaneously.
How it Works
The digital lottery is fully integrated into the Carnival guest experience. Ticket purchases are made through the Carnival HUB app once guests are onboard and connected to ship WiFi. There will be daily synchronized draws across all participating ships, with instant notifications delivered through the app, and major prize winners contacted directly by onboard Casino and Guest Services teams.
Prizes range from onboard credits to a potential $1 million jackpot.
“We are proud to lead the market in gaming innovation at sea. By linking our ships into one exciting lottery, we’re creating a shared sense of anticipation that goes beyond any single voyage. This experience gives every guest the opportunity to win a life-changing jackpot, exactly the kind of fun and energy our guests love, and we’re thrilled to deliver it,” said Marty Goldman, Senior Vice President of Global Gaming at Carnival Corporation, in a media statement.
The move reflects a broader industry trend toward app-based monetization and digitally driven guest experiences, as cruise lines continue investing in technology to enhance onboard engagement and incremental spend.
