AmaWaterways is expanding its Soulful Experience offerings in 2025, introducing four distinct itineraries across Egypt, France, Portugal and Colombia. These journeys are designed to highlight Black history and culture along renowned waterways. Of note: When you book your clients by Dec. 31, 2024, they can benefit from up to 20 percent off cruise fares and access to AmaWaterways’ AirPlus fixed rates on airfares.

The Soulful Experience sailings provide authentic excursions that honor Black heritage. Guests can expect personalized service, local cuisine and nightly entertainment while exploring with like-minded travelers.

The 11-night Secrets of Egypt & The Nile journey, departing Cairo on May 14, 2025, combines three nights in the city with a 7-night Nile cruise aboard the AmaDahlia. Highlights include tours of the Egyptian Museum, ancient pyramids and a private lunch at the Abdeen Presidential Palace. Guests explore a Nubian village in Aswan, offering insights into one of civilization’s earliest cultures.

France’s Colors of Provence is a 10-night experience departing Aug. 21, 2025. The trip begins with a cruise from Arles to Lyon on the AmaKristina, followed by three nights in Paris. Guests visit the Blachere Foundation in Avignon, which promotes contemporary African art, and explore Roman ruins in Vienne. In Paris, the itinerary includes visits to the Monument to the Abolition of Slavery and Little Africa in La Goutte d’or.

Portugal’s Enticing Douro departs Nov. 14, 2025, offering a 10-night experience that includes three nights in Lisbon and a 7-night sailing along the Douro River on the AmaSintra. Lisbon’s tour highlights the city’s African heritage, while the river cruise features Brazilian and African food tastings, authentic Portuguese cuisine and port wine experiences at local quintas.

The Magic of Colombia introduces AmaWaterways’ newest destination, with a 7-night sailing on the Magdalena River departing Oct. 18, 2025. This cruise on the AmaMagdalena explores Colombia’s rich Black history, particularly in Cartagena. Daily activities include lessons in Latin American musical styles and an exclusive Carnaval experience in Barranquilla. Stops along the river offer diverse experiences, from touring stilt houses to exploring the bird-rich Cienaga Pijiño.
