Walt Disney World Welcomes Dogs at Select Hotels

For your clients who can’t imagine visiting “The Happiest Place on Earth” without their furry friends, Walt Disney World Resort is now welcoming guests and their canine companions at four resort hotels.

Launched on Oct. 15, 2017, the new pilot program will allow up to two dogs per guestroom in Disney’s Yacht Club ResortDisney Port Orleans Resort – RiversideDisney’s Art of Animation Resort, and the cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

As part of this new service, the dog-friendly properties have been outfitted with easy access to outdoor pet exercise areas and green spaces with pet relief areas. Upon check-in, your clients will receive Pluto’s Welcome Kit, which includes a mat, bowls, a pet ID tag, courtesy plastic disposable bags, puppy pads, dog walking maps, and a Pluto “Do Not Disturb” door hanger to let hotel staff know that there is a pet in the room. For guests who do not want to leave their four-legged friends alone in the room, a day care and other pet services are also available at Best Friends, an on-property full-service pet care facility.

A per night per room pet-cleaning fee of $50 will be added for guests staying at Disney Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and the cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. For guests at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, the fee is $75 per night per room.
