Visit Wales and Avanti Destinations have teamed up to launch a joint educational and promotional campaign with a 22-page e-brochure, A Welsh Exploration: From Snow-capped Mountains to Rugged Coastlines.

The new Wales e-brochure is available on Avanti’s agent portal and highlights four fully customizable FIT itineraries that range in length from three to eight days and include new experiences such as a mountain railway tour in Brecon Beacons National Park, visiting Roman ruins an Tintern Abbey, wine tastings, and other gastronomy-focused activities. The e-brochure also introduces advisors to Wales’ long history and cultural traditions, distinct regions, three national parks, and more than 600 castles, while also showcasing the ease of connecting Wales to both London and Manchester, each of which are two hours away by train.

“Wales is a relatively unknown destination among American travelers,” said Paul Barry, chairman of Avanti Destinations, in press materials. “It’s one of those destinations we love: with fewer tourists, but an amazing diversity of very appealing sights and authentic experiences from millennia of history and culture with UNESCO-designated castles, ancient standing stones, and Roman ruins to fantastic natural attractions such as dramatic mountains and gorgeous beaches, charming towns and villages, with opportunities for active travel and foodie experiences.”

The four FIT itineraries offered by Avanti include the 3-day Best of North Wales journey, the 8-day Sips & Samples of Wales trip, the weeklong Bite of Wales, and the 6-day Taste of Welsh Classics.

In addition to the products highlighted in the e-brochure, Avanti offers two other suggested itineraries in Wales—one for six days focused on hiking in North Wales and the other a 7-day vacation combining London with Cardiff and Swansea. The tour operator also offers an 8-day small group escorted tour (The Wonders of Wales visiting Brecon Beacons, Conwy and Snowdonia), plus private 8-hour tours with driver-guides for those wary of driving on the other side of the road. All Avanti itineraries and experiences may also be combined and tailored to suit each client’s individual interests.
