Make room on the water. A new ship is hitting the high seas, and it’s doing so much earlier than expected.
Celebrity Cruises has expanded the inaugural season of Celebrity Edge now that the ship will be completed ahead of schedule and enter service earlier than planned. Instead of offering one maiden voyage, Celebrity Edge will sail two distinct 7-night trips on the ship’s alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.
Maiden Voyage West will depart from Fort Lauderdale on Dec. 9, 2018 and visit Key West, Florida; Costa Maya, Mexico; Cozumel, Mexico; and George Town, Grand Cayman. Maiden Voyage East, the originally scheduled sailing, will depart from Fort Lauderdale on Dec. 16, 2018 and make its way to San Juan, Puerto Rico; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Philipsburg, St. Maarten. Prices for these itineraries start at $1,499 pp not including taxes, fees and gratuities.
For those who can’t wait to get their first look at Celebrity Cruises’ newest ship, the cruise line is also offering Edge Preview Sailings departing from Fort Lauderdale on Nov. 21 and 24, 2018, as well as Dec. 3 and 6, 2018. These 3-day itineraries will take guests to The Bahamas. Starting prices for these sailings range between $499 and $649 not including taxes, fees and gratuities.
