The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami, has officially reopened following a $100 million renovation, marking the milestone with a grand celebration held last week that welcomed industry partners, community leaders and esteemed guests.
The event, presented by Gencom, highlighted the resort’s extensive transformation—its first comprehensive renovation in nearly 25 years—and signaled a new chapter for the beachfront property.
“The return of The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami marks an exciting new chapter for this iconic destination,” said Karim Alibhai, Founder and Principal of Gencom, in a media statement. “This resort has long been a cornerstone of Miami’s coastal lifestyle, and this transformation honors its legacy while elevating the experience for a new generation of travelers and the Key Biscayne community.”
A Reimagined Coastal Resort
The renovation introduces a refreshed design across the resort, incorporating open-air architecture, ocean-facing views and a refreshed palette. Guestrooms and suites have been redesigned with updated furnishings, floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces. The Presidential Suite spans 2,620 square feet of indoor-outdoor space, featuring two bedrooms, expansive living areas and a private balcony.
A key focus of the transformation is the expansion of the resort’s food and beverage program, now featuring six distinct venues, including Luna, Paralia, Dune Beach Bar and Stefano’s. Additional concepts include a Pura Vida Miami cafe and offerings from Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatiers.
Wellness also plays a central role in the repositioning, with the debut of a 30,000-square-foot spa. The facility includes 16 treatment rooms, couples suites, a full-service salon and dedicated relaxation areas such as a sensory garden and private cabanas. The resort’s updated amenities extend to leisure and watersports recreation, with enhanced pool areas and beach activities, while The Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center now offers tennis, pickleball and padel.
Retail outlets and a new Ritz Kids Club further position the property as a full-service destination for both families and leisure travelers.
