Officially, Chile announced that on arrival in the country U.S. citizens will no longer need to pay the $160 reciprocity fee that has been in effect for many years. This announcement coincides with the U.S. adding Chile to its Visa Waiver Program, whereby Chileans are excused from paying our $160 entrance fee.

In effect as of May 1, this reciprocal exchange of visa-waving fess applies to both vacation and business travelers.
