Tickets are now on sale for Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) 26, Universal Orlando’s terrifying thrill fest featuring menacing “scareactors,” live shows, and incredibly detailed haunted houses styled after iconic horror films, hit TV shows and original stories. This year’s HHN is being held at Universal Studios for 31 days from Sept. 16 to Oct. 31—the longest run in the event’s history.

This year, fans of the Emmy– and Golden Globe Award-winning TV series “American Horror Story” will have the opportunity to embark on a journey through three chapters of the hit series, becoming the next doomed residents of Murder House from Installment 1, tortured performers in the disturbing and twisted Freak Show from Installment 4, and victims of the otherworldly, death-dealing Hotel from Installment 5. Another new maze being added this year takes inspiration from the 1974 slasher film “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre,” where guests walk through the iconic Texas farmhouse and experience Leatherface’s kills from the film. To guests’ delight, HHN is bringing back AMC’s hit series, “The Walking Dead” maze, featuring instantly recognizable locations such as the hospital from Season 1 where Rick awakens to a world overrun with the dead, the home of the Governor in Season 3, and the seemingly-safe refuge, Terminus, from Season 4.

In addition, Universal Orlando is unveiling a new interactive experience that will blend custom virtual reality technology with real-life characters and environments to create a unique paranormal experience called “The Repository.” Guests won’t want to miss this limited-time attraction where they explore highly thematic physical environments in small teams and interact with real-life characters in order to solve a dark mystery unfolding before them. “The Repository” will be available to guests with an upgraded ticket during select HHN dates.

HHN 26’s Grand Master of terror will be Chance, the twisted right-hand woman of Halloween Horror Nights legend, Jack the Clown, whom I met at last year’s event, which you can read about in my “It’s the Best of Horror for Halloween Horror Nights’ 25th Year” story here. Agents can purchase a Halloween Horror Nights Add-On ticket for their clients, allowing them to add admission to Halloween Horror Nights to the purchase of a regular Universal Orlando theme park ticket for only $59. This offer is valid on any Sunday through Friday event night. Vacation packages, pairing park tickets with resort hotels, including the new 1,000-room, Caribbean-themed Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, are also available online.
