This fall, The Grove Resort & Spa will make its Orlando debut on Lake Austin, a short distance from Walt Disney World. The expansive 878-room, all-suite resort is set on 106 acres of land that incorporates a portion of Central Florida’s conservation grounds. Balancing seclusion and connectivity, the hotel will offer convenient access to Orlando’s major attractions, including Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, in addition to being located near the city’s luxury shopping stores that include Gucci, Valentino and Bottega Veneta. The Grove, however, will feel worlds away from the bustling pace of the theme parks and other area activities with its natural marsh, wooded landscape and waterfront setting.

Adults will appreciate the resort’s generously sized 2- and 3-bedroom suites, ranging between 1,264 sq. ft. and 1,544 sq. ft., complete with spacious living and dining areas, full kitchens, multiple bathrooms, screened balconies, and full-size washers and dryers. The kids, on the other hand, will go wild for the onsite family-friendly water park, The Grove’s Surfari Water Park, with its surf simulator, 725-ft.-long winding lazy river, four pools, multiple water slides and a variety of dining options that include full-service restaurants, bars, and a large-scale grab-and-go marketplace serving a selection of hot and cold self-serve food, gelato and ice cream, coffee, made-to-order sandwiches, and grocery-style items. Additional outdoor entertainment can be found at the lakeside dock, which will be home to a selection of watersports and paddleboats. The first phase of the property, 292 residential-style guest suites, is scheduled to open late this fall.

Dining at The Grove will include the 221-seat, indoor/outdoor restaurant Valencia, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner; Longboard Bar & Grill, located at Surfari Water Park; and the outdoor Springs Bar & Grill, with the latter two serving traditional bites such as hamburgers, chicken wings and stone brick oven pizzas.

Throughout the resort, guests will find an abundance of other amenities, including The Grove’s Escape Spa, which will offer body and facial treatments, manicures and pedicures. In addition, there will be a 2,000-sq.-ft. fitness center with cardiovascular and strength training equipment, plus a children’s game room. Regular room rates start at $209 per night.
