Visit Tallahassee has launched a new site, Trailahassee.com, to promote its 600 miles of trails for travelers to go biking, hiking, paddling and more.
“We are fortunate in having tremendous natural resources that lend themselves to the types of outdoor recreational activities sought by today’s travelers,” says Lee Daniel, executive director of the county’s tourism division. “Trailahassee was a logical step in identifying those assets for travelers and providing detailed information in a digital environment that essentially becomes a personal guide for users.”
The site launched with 11 featured trails, including the Apalachee Regional Park, Cadillac Mountain Bike Trails and Leon Sinks Geological Area. Using the “Find a Trail” tab makes it easy to learn more about the trails and the types of activities available to travelers, featuring maps and skill levels.
