At first glance, the hotel’s welcoming lobby is furnished in soft shades of blue, white and beige with bleached wood accents and a large bookcase, filled from top to bottom with books and antique-looking knick-knacks, that splits the space between the lobby and the hotel’s restaurant, The Local House.
The restaurant is a hotspot for locals and tourists alike. While Recommend toured the property, we also got a chance to try some of the restaurant’s signature dishes like the goat cheese croquettes with a spicy guava sauce; the pan seared salmon with a summer vegetable ratatouille; fresh oysters; the crispy octopus on a lentils, tomatoes, and cucumber salad; and bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with white cheese, spiced ground beef and a spicy yellow mustard sauce.
From the rooftop of the Oasis, the glittering (and beckoning) Atlantic Ocean can be seen twinkling in the distance—the beach is only one block away from the hotel, which provides guests with complimentary beach chairs and towels. A quaint space with a heated pool and lounge area where guests can order dishes from the hotel’s restaurant, the Oasis is also a great spot to host small events for up to 75 guests.
