Outbound Hotels has announced an important expansion phase, partnering exclusively with CoralTree Hospitality for operations management while preparing to launch two flagship properties in California and Arizona. The outdoor hospitality brand will debut Outbound Yosemite in Q1 2026 and Outbound Sedona in Q2 2026.
“With the openings of Outbound Yosemite and Outbound Sedona, we’re delivering on our vision to create stays that are rooted in place, approachable by design, and connected to the outdoors,” said Matthew Mering, Executive Vice President, Hospitality at Waterton (Outbound’s ownership group) and Co-Founder of Outbound Hotels, in a press statement. “These properties represent the next evolution of the brand—both in terms of geography and guest experience—and with CoralTree as our exclusive operating partner, we’re set up to grow with the right balance of creativity, consistency and local perspective.”
The CoralTree Hospitality partnership provides Outbound Hotels with access to operational infrastructure typically reserved for larger hotel chains. CoralTree manages over 50 properties and brings decades of experience scaling independent hospitality companies. The collaboration includes dedicated teams, established standard operating procedures and regional Global Sales offices, ensuring operational consistency while maintaining Outbound’s community-first approach and creative brand identity.
Outbound’s Great Outdoors
Outbound Yosemite occupies 17 acres just 15 miles from Yosemite National Park’s South Gate, representing the brand’s first ground-up construction project. The property features 104 cabins and 14 lodge-style guestrooms, all situated along natural slopes to maximize the views. Accommodations range from couple-friendly units to family and group configurations, with select cabins offering outdoor showers, and a flagship suite featuring an efficiency kitchen and an oversized deck. The resort also has a large pool, hot tub and over 5,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, designed for both indoor and outdoor use.
Design elements at Yosemite draw inspiration from iconic rock formations, such as El Capitan and Half Dome, incorporating their vertical and horizontal forms into architecture and finishes. Juniper restaurant anchors the dining program with an elevated pizza-forward menu featuring regional influences.
Outbound Sedona transforms a 138-room property with modern, Pueblo-inspired architecture that reflects the surrounding red rock environment. The accommodations include king rooms, bunk rooms and the spacious Serenity Suite, with select units featuring patios, fireplaces or kitchenettes. The enhanced spa has an outdoor adults-only pool, dry sauna, cold plunge and private treatment rooms. The centerpiece Moonwater pool complex features two tiered pools, each approximately 2,000 square feet, with dual hot tubs and fire pits positioned for views of Bell Rock.
Lucida restaurant offers indoor-outdoor dining with a menu that spotlights local ingredients and Southwestern flavors. Programming includes wellness offerings, tea flights and fresh-pressed juice options designed for the desert climate.
Bookings for both properties open Nov. 3, with Yosemite stays beginning in Q1 2026 and Sedona following in Q2 2026.
