Napa Valley Hotel Channels French Riviera

Auberge du Soleil

For its recently redesigned rooms, Auberge du Soleil in Napa Valley drew inspiration from the South of France.

The new 8-room Maison Saint-Tropez within the Auberge du Soleil, a Relais & Chateaux member, features a blend of California- and French-inspired design elements, with French doors, large terraces and natural elements, such as hand-carved wooden headboards with California king beds. Private terraces feature lounge chairs, ottomans and dining tables with views of the valley, while bathrooms offer skylights with oversized soaking tubs.

Maison Saint-Tropez was inspired by the glamorous and free-spirited lifestyle of the French Riviera, where life revolves around the sun and soul, and interior spaces are sophisticated and sensual. The new look updates the Auberge’s iconic interiors with a fresh, contemporary sensibility,” says George Goeggel, managing partner of Auberge du Soleil.

Rooms range from $1,375-$3,975 per night in high season. For more information, visit aubergeresorts.com. For more on Napa Valley, see Napa Valley Revisited from the October 2012 issue.
