The James Hotels properties are looking to their surroundings in each city to create a specially designed kids’ program as part of the new lil’ james amenity program.

Guests will be greeted at the properties in New York, Miami and Chicago with a welcome kit that includes information on activities and services in the area that families can explore together, such as children’s museums and parks. Children will also receive a welcome backpack with an activity crate from Kiwi Crate with arts and crafts kits. The hotels will also feature food and beverage menus designed for children at David Burke’s Primehouse in Chicago, Florida Cookery in Miami and David Burke Kitchen in New York.

Another component of the program is amenities catered to different ages of children, from portable cribs and bathtubs for children up to 24 months, to turndown service with milk and cookies, pre-loaded iPads and Kindles with books and child-friendly apps, and children’s bikes and helmets.

At The James Royal Palm in Miami, located on South Beach, children can play in the new lil’ james Play Space, an indoor and outdoor area designed with the Miami Children’s Museum, offering water play stations, activity tables and easels, in addition to complimentary snacks and water. Parents can also join their children at the Lifeguard Station reading nook or lil’ james beach with a sandcastle building area and tables with umbrellas.

The lil’ james program is complimentary. Room rates start at $199 per night at The James Chicago, $299 per night at The James Royal Palm in Miami and $319 per night at The James New York. For more information, visit jameshotels.com. For more family stories, look out for our September issue.
