Having been thrust into a challenging new normal by the COVID-19 pandemic, the travel industry is now retooling and rethinking its strategies to prepare for the comeback. All sectors of the industry are stepping up and positioning themselves for the rebound with incentivized re-bookings and once-in-a-lifetime offers.

No Better Time to Book with Playa
In preparation for the resurgence of travel, Playa Hotels & Resorts is offering “Once-In-A-Lifetime Savings” to clients itching for an end to social distancing. Guests who book through April 30, 2020 for travel between July 1, 2020-Dec. 20, 2021 at resorts including Panama Jack Resort Cancun and Jewel Grande Montego Bay will receive up to 20 percent off their booking, free rescheduling and free cancellation. Other offers available at select properties include a fifth night free, kids stay free, up to $200 in resort perks, 20 percent off spa services and more.

Rebooking Perks
Travelers who cancelled their stays at Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort due to the current pandemic are able to rebook with perks. Any re-bookings made by June 30 receive a $100 F&B credit and free cancellation up to 24 hours before arrival for their new reservation.

Road Trip Rewards
As clients start to regain confidence in travel with close-to-home weekend trips, Fort Worth, Texas, will focus its efforts around marketing to drive markets like Austin and Oklahoma City. Fort Worth will also tout its free activities such as visiting The Kimbell art museum and seeing the last twice daily cattle drive in the world.

Cruise Reassurances
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has launched Regent Reassurance for trips scheduled now through Sept. 30, 2020. Travelers who have paid in full have the option to cancel up to 48 hours prior to sailing and receive a 100 percent Future Cruise Credit, which can be applied to any new booking within one year on any future Regent voyage sailing between now and Dec. 31, 2022.
