Hotel Alba, Tapestry Collection by Hilton has opened its doors as the first ever Tapestry Collection hotel in Florida.

The 222-room property is located in Tampa’s growing Westshore business district, just minutes from the Tampa International Airport, downtown Tampa and Ybor City.

The hotel combines modern, upscale lodging with contemporary meeting and event spaces, and has been designed to reflect the unique local history and culture of Tampa. A reimagined lobby experience and in-house rotating art gallery have been designed to evoke the local area, while poolside cabanas and suites surround an outdoor swimming pool with new landscaping and outside bar access.

Hotel Alba’s signature restaurant, The Spaniard, features open-air dining and a menu that draws inspiration from Florida’s culinary traditions and coastal flavors. The Hotel Alba lobby also features Buffalo Bayou, a gourmet cafe serving locally ground coffees, teas and house-made light eats.

“Tampa is a hip, cultural hub for amazing food and authentic culture, and we’re thrilled to bring the Hotel Alba concept into that mix,” said Donovan Stephens, general manager of Hotel Alba, in a press release statement. “What we have here is truly one of a kind. We’re marking a new era in Tampa Bay development, and it starts with Hotel Alba.”

An official grand opening is planned for September, featuring a ribbon cutting ceremony, invited guests, area dignitaries and more.
