Fort Myers/Sanibel Commits to Assisting Agents

The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau, representing The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel in southwest Florida, has long recognized the importance of travel agents.

The bureau’s Travel Agent Help Desk offers personalized service from an experienced staff person who conducts aggressive outreach to establishing and strengthening relationships with agents in major tourist feeder markets. This includes missions to meet with agents one-on-one in order to educate them about the area’s unspoiled island sanctuary, participation in agent functions, organizing FAM tours of the destination, along with providing telephone and online assistance.

For example, the Travel Agent Help Desk answers agents’ diverse questions over the phone. If the answer isn’t immediately available, the agent receives a timely call back with the answer.

In addition, the Travel Agent Help Desk provides agents customized kits containing a travel guide and individual hotel and attractions information. Agents are invited to call the Travel Agent Help Desk at (800) 237-6444 (U.S. & Canada) or (239) 338-3500 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST) or email [email protected].

By accessing the destination’s website at fortmyerssanibel.com, agents can find suggested itineraries for their clients to enjoy when visiting the area. These itineraries include diverse options in eco-travel, history, birding, fishing and more.
