The time is almost here for Club Med Sandpiper Bay’s annual Body & Mind Weeks held April 29-June 3 at the all-inclusive hotel in St. Lucie, Florida. The 5-week program will connect guests with more than 20 pro athletes through the resort’s existing sports offerings, which include tennis, golf, beach volleyball and fitness. The program will also features nutrition seminars, cooking sessions, guided yoga/meditation and relaxation, including a once a week spa event led by L’Occitane Spa therapists. The spa events will include hot and cold teas, chair massage demonstrations, educational discussions on the benefits of massages during sports training, and a la carte spa packages.
Instructors in line for the Body & Mind Weeks include tennis director Gabe Jaramillo, who has trained eight #1 and 27 top 10 tennis players in the world, including Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras and Monica Seles; swing coach Matt DeJohn, who has won two individual NCAA Division I golf tournaments and had seven top 10 finishes; director of volleyball Albert Hannemann, a U.S. Olympic Festival Gold Medalist; and onsite beach volleyball coach Sergio Rios, a National Colombian Team member as a setter in 1999, 2000, and 2001.
