Ground has been broken for a new resort in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The $60 million resort, Royal Mill, will be set on St. Vincent. The 80-room hotel will include a beach club as well as private residences. Dining outlets, shopping, a spa, pool, and rooftop bar and restaurant will be other features. The project is the brainchild of A&A Capital.

St VincentNew flights to St. Vincent’s Argyle International Airport was a boost for the destination and this new property will add to its offerings. One of the highlights of this destination is that it is still untouched by mass tourism. Fans of the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean, The Curse of the Black Pearl,” will recognize St. Vincent’s Wallilabout Bay as the site for Johnny Depp’s adventures. The steps of Captain Jack Sparrow can be retraced in many spots on the island where many of the scenes were shot. Some of the movie sets that were installed for the filming can still be seen.
