Arizona’s hotel scene is heating up with two new openings. Mountain Modern Sedona, debuting April 26, blends Southwestern charm with adventure-ready amenities, wellness experiences and pet-friendly perks. Meanwhile, Trailborn Grand Canyon brings a fresh, design-forward stay to Williams, AZ, reimagining a Route 66 motor lodge into a lively social hub.

Both properties are ideal for road-trippers, nature lovers and those seeking a unique blend of comfort and adventure near two of the state’s most iconic destinations—Sedona’s red rocks and the Grand Canyon.

Mountain Modern Sedona

Mountain Modern Sedona, set to officially open on April 26, 2025, after a complete transformation of the former Sedona Real Inn & Suites, marks the brand’s second location outside of Jackson Hole, WY, offering travelers an adventure-focused retreat in the heart of Red Rock Country.

“Mountain Modern Sedona is perfect for the adventurous traveler, providing the ideal basecamp for those eager to explore and connect with like-minded travelers,” shares General Manager Stephanie Orbe, in a press statement.

The 89-room property is designed with oversized rooms, studios and suites. Guests can enjoy an expansive pool and a destination-inspired restaurant. The hotel also caters to adventure-seekers, with custom gear walls in select rooms for year-round storage of hiking boots, walking sticks and backpacks.

Two suites are designed as wellness studios, complete with Peloton bikes, Technogym equipment, and personalized fitness programming. Guests can also take Bala Band Fit Trail Kits on hikes for a more challenging workout.

Embracing Sedona’s reputation as a wellness hub, the property will host crystal bowl sound baths, breathwork sessions, chakra exploration, vortex talks and quantum healing experiences. With pet travel on the rise, Mountain Modern Sedona welcomes four-legged companions with in-room pet amenities, a full-service outdoor dog spa, and curated pet-friendly itineraries. The on-site restaurant will also feature a pet-friendly menu.

Recognizing the growing trend of “noctourism, the hotel will offer evening yoga sessions, sunrise ceremonies rooted in Native American traditions and guided stargazing experiences to highlight Sedona’s dark skies.
