Family Fun

For an end of summer family vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico that won’t break the family budget, book the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort’s recently launched all-inclusive Family Fun package available through Sept. 30. Upon arrival, guests of the 375-guestroom beachfront beauty receive a complimentary welcome drink and the key to their spacious accommodations with private balcony and ocean views. Once guests settle in, the kids can hit the resort’s palm-tree-lined infinity pool for Cabo Kids games and poolside treats, while the adults take advantage of the $140 pp per stay credit at eforea Spa, a 7,000-sq.-ft. facility complete with 11 individual treatment rooms and four couple’s rooms, hydro-massage tubs, a steam room and whirlpool. Daily pool-view farm-to-fork breakfast at El Meson, daily 2-course lunch at Madero or MIO pool restaurants, and daily 3-course dinner at Vela (Italian), El Meson or Azul (tapas) restaurants are included, so families won’t have to worry about how much it will cost to feed all of those mouths. Package rates start at $246 for four nights or longer, and include accommodations, roundtrip transportation, and daily domestic open bar service from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Children under the age of 6 stay free. Over on the Caribbean coast, the 314-guestroom Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen Resort in the heart of Riviera Maya is also offering a travel deal that is ideal for families. Guests who book through Oct. 18 for travel from Sept. 1 to Dec. 20 receive 20 percent off Bed & Breakfast rates, starting at $235 per night in a Grand King or Grand Queen room, and 15 percent off treatments at the resort’s Cenote Spa. In order to take advantage of this offer guests must pre-pay one night and stay a minimum of two nights. Families take precedence at the Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen Resort where kids, and kids at heart, have a bevy of crowd-pleasing amenities to entertain them during the day and at night. Teens and tweens will want to spend all day at the #Hashtag Teen Arcade Camp with its mini theater and arcade-style game room. The little ones will have their own fun at Hyatt Tortuguita for children ages 4 to 10. Once the sun goes down, families can reconvene for dinner at The Grill at 1 26, La Cocina or El Paseo restaurants, which serve fresh seafood, steak and Mexican-Caribbean fare. Couples’ Therapy
After all of the family vacations, reunions and get-togethers are over, when it’s time for your clients to take that getaway just for two, suggest Oasis Hotels & Resorts’ Grand Oasis Cancun in Mexico’s popular hotel zone. Fondly referred to as “The Entertainer,” this beachfront all-inclusive is continuously hosting live concerts, festivals, shows and themed parties. Described on the resort’s website as “hip, happening and high-class,” Grand Oasis Cancun offers all of the amenities your couples will seek during their romantic getaway, plus a few surprises such as dancers in the lobby, comedy skits by the pool and the after-hours Late-Night Kinky Burlesque Cabaret show. In addition, the 613-guestroom property recently opened the Havana Cigar Bar, a lively spot inspired by the 1950s Havana nightclubs. Couples can belly up to the bar for a drink and cigar or dance the night away during nightly performances including big-band concerts. Rates start at $109 pp per night. Solo Solstice
All nine resorts in Marriott Caribbean & Latin America Resorts’ collection are now offering two ongoing packages catering to independent travelers, whether they need a little me-time or are looking to explore and meet new friends. For example, the All About Me package includes a private fitness class, spa treatment and private excursion, while the aptly named Solo & Social package features a personal driver for three hours (day or night), inside local tips from the GM on daytime and nighttime hotspots, a group excursion, or tour and a mixology or cooking class. Participating properties include the JW Marriott Cancun, starting at $269 per night, and CasaMagna Marriott Cancun starting at $189 per night. Both packages include three nights in a King room, complimentary WiFi and an airport pick-up. As a safety measure, guests can fill out an “I’ll be Back” form at the front desk stating where they’re going, what they’re wearing, when they plan to return and information of an emergency contact. Property-specific package components, such as the fitness classes, excursions and tours, vary per property and per season. For more information, visit paradisebymarriott.com.
