Luxury Gold Launches New Worldwide Collection

Luxury Gold has launched its new 2022-2023 Worldwide Collection, announcing all small group tours, new itineraries and more choice of included experiences.

Guests can explore the world in extraordinary style on immersive journeys across the Americas, Europe, Asia, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand—including two new itineraries to France and Croatia, two new train journeys, and an expanded collection of sustainable Make Travel Matter Experiences.

In addition to exceptional personal service and attention to every detail that our guests have come to love, this year we’re taking greater steps than ever before to elevate our journeys,” said Guy Young, president of Luxury Gold, in a press statement. “Changes include having no more than 24 guests on every journey and tailoring the vacation experience to each individual traveler by offering the greatest choice of included experiences, more than any other guided travel company.”

With no more than 24 guests, Luxury Gold’s tours will be more private than ever before, giving the opportunity to take guests on even more exclusive experiences. Understanding that the ultimate luxury travel experience looks different for every guest, Luxury Gold is introducing more included choices, called Journey, Your Way, giving guests the opportunity to select unique local experiences that suit their own interests.

More of Luxury Gold’s itineraries will also include Make Travel Matter Experiences, which are immersive, local excursions that give back to the communities visited and are aligned with the United Nation’s sustainable development goals. These offer guests the chance to see a side of their destinations that most travelers miss when exploring the destination on their own.

To assist guests in adapting to a new world of travel, trips will include a specially trained and dedicated well-being director on departures with 15 or more guests, working alongside the dedicated and expertly-trained Traveling Concierge and best-in-class coach driver to provide additional support and assistance during guests’ travels (well-being directors will not be available on tours to South Africa, Japan Australia and New Zealand). All Luxury Gold journeys include a complimentary, private VIP door-to-door airport transfers with a chauffeur on the start and end dates of the tour.

Guests can enjoy the following new journeys and train itineraries from Luxury Gold’s 2022-2023 collection:

Ultimate Southern France (12 days) – Guests will explore the coasts of France & Monaco, starting their journey in the French Riviera with guided sightseeing of Monaco’s ancient walls and national treasure, Aix-En-Provence Cathedral. Cruise along turquoise waters to the Saint-Tropez and a stay at 18th-century Chatau de Fonscolombe in Provence, boasting its own wine estate and salons. A special VIP experience includes a private concert at the Oratory Chapel in Avignon after dinner at the Michelin-starred La Vieille Fontaine. Join a Make Travel Matter Experience in Les Baux and Arles during a visit to Chateau d’Estoublon, learning about organic farming practices and sample a selection of olive oils. While in Albi, Journey, Your Way with the choice to visit the dominant St. Cecilia Cathedral or visit the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum.

A Paris extension is available traveling via the TGV train in 1st class for a 3-night stay at Hotel du Louvre, with a 2-day museum pass to the Louvre and the Musee d’Orsay.

Croatia & the Dalmatian Coast (14-days) – Be captivated by Croatia’s spectacular sights and cuisine on a land journey and a week-long luxury cruise. Guests will start their journey in Zagreb with a mix of medieval and modern sightseeing. They’ll see hundreds of waterfalls at Plitvice Lakes National Park, joining a Make Travel Matter Experience to learn about the Park’s invaluable research work and conservation of its native species. Later, they’ll journey to the Opatija Riviera for striking views of the Adriatic Sea a favorite seaside destination of the Austro-Hungarian elite in the 19th century. Hunt for truffles with a local farmer and his hound dogs in Istria, with a at Michelin-starred Draga di Lovarna Restaurant, with sweeping views over the sea. For a VIP experience,  guests will explore the Museum of Apoxyomenos after hours, giving unparalleled access to its 2,000-year-old Greek bronze statue. A dazzling finale in Dubrovnik, Journey, Your Way, with a choice to hike around the impressive city walls, visit the museums in the Old Town, or take advantage of the hotel’s private beach at the Grand Villa Argentina.

Spectacular South Africa with Rovos Rail (14-days) – A new tour version available on this itinerary flies to Johannesburg for one night before boarding the Rovos Rail for a 3-night journey to Victoria Falls. Guests will start their journey in Cape Town with a 5-night stay at the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa with views of Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean. A VIP experience, they’ll join Christo Brand, a former prison guard of Nelson Mandela, for lunch to hear stories about South Africa’s first black president. Make Travel Matter Experience, they’ll visit the Amy Foundation to witness how the lives of vulnerable young people are being transformed through a variety of empowering programs. They’ll look for the Big Five at Kruger National Park and Journey, Your Way, with a choice to relax over high tea, or join a ranger for a guided bush walk.

British Royale with Royal Scotsman (16-days) – A new tour version available on this itinerary spends two additional nights in Edinburgh before boarding the luxury Royal Scotsman Railway for a 4-night journey through the Highlands. Guests will experience Great Britain in all its glory starting in London, by joining the Yeoman Warder at the Tower of London for a VIP after hours Ceremony of the Keys—a time old tradition carried out for 700-years. They’ll stay at the recently fully refurbished, five-star Rubens at The Palace located directly across Buckingham Palace’s Royal Mews. In Bath, guests will Journey, Your Way by choosing to visit the Jane Austen Center or visit the Roman Baths and Georgian Pump Room, before indulging in a Michelin-starred dinner at Restaurant Hywel Jones by Lucknam Park. They’ll later journey from Viking York to Castle Howard for High Tea in the grand surrounds of the Grecian Hall, followed by a VIP experience for a private tour of the castle after it closes. In Scotland, Journey, Your Way in Edinburgh to explore the Real Mary King’s Close beneath the city or choose to visit a whisky distillery and try a wee dram of Scottish firewater.
