Kimpton Hotel Fontenot​ Opens in March

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants​ announced Kimpton Hotel Fontenot​ will open on March 13, 2020. Returning to the Big Easy after a 15-year absence from the market, the new boutique hotel is located in the heart of New Orleans’ Central Business District, on the corner of Poydras and Tchoupitoulas Streets. Just steps away from New Orleans’ Arts District and lively French Quarter, Hotel Fontenot’s location gives guests access to the city’s diverse culture, shopping, architecture, entertainment, and nightlife.

To mark the occasion, Hotel Fontenot is offering a Crescent City Comeback package​ that includes 15 percent off the best available room rate, 15 percent off all beverages from the cafe, and 1,500 IHG Rewards Club loyalty points. Plus, Kimpton Hotel Fontenot is donating $15 from every booking to​ ​The Roots of Music​, a local non-profit organization that empowers the youth of New Orleans through music education, academic support, and mentorship. The Crescent City Comeback package can be booked from Feb. 5, 2020 – April 30, 2020, using the code IDKTP, for stays between March 13, 2020, through Aug. 31, 2020.

Named after iconic Cajun musicians and artists, Kimpton Hotel Fontenot pays homage to New Orleans’ rich history and musical legacy with a reimagined hotel. Designed by MARKZEFF, the hotel features artful, bold, and sophisticated interiors throughout its public areas, guestrooms, and suites, along with signature chef-led food and beverage concepts, including a corner cafe and restaurant and bar, effortlessly combining classic and contemporary with surprises at every corner.

The 202 guestrooms feature a clean and modern aesthetic accentuated by soft colors, bright and airy spaces, and irreverent touches, offering a serene refuge in the heart of the city.

Adding even more vibrancy to New Orleans’ food and drink scene, Kimpton Hotel Fontenot is introducing two signature dining and cocktail concepts within the property. Gospel Coffee and Boozy Treats is a neighborhood cafe serving a full range of coffee, teas, espresso, and creative frozen adult beverages, as well as a collection of eat-on-the-go options. The Peacock Room, will deliver worldly sophistication to the city and catering to an in-the-know, fun-loving crowd who bring to it a refined sense of taste. The property will offer spaces designed to cultivate communal experiences, including a daily hosted wine social hour.

In addition, Hotel Fontenot offers guests a variety of uniquely New Orleans moments from check-in to check-out.
