Universal Orlando Resort is rolling out a slate of limited-time entertainment, film-themed activations and seasonal programming this summer.
Running from May 23 through Aug. 10, the resort’s seasonal lineup centers on movie-inspired experiences tied to major Universal film franchises and classic blockbuster titles. Offerings across Universal Studios and Universal CityWalk Orlando include interactive exhibits, themed food and beverage items, live entertainment, nighttime events, and limited-edition merchandise collections.
Movie Magic at Universal Orlando
Universal is adding “Spielberg Summer Blockbusters,” an exhibit featuring props and behind-the-scenes material from director Steven Spielberg. The resort is also introducing expanded experiences themed to “Jaws,” including photo activations inspired by the fictional town of Amity, themed food and beverages and exclusive merchandise.
Additional experiences tied to “Minions & Monsters” will feature new character meet-and-greets, themed menu items at Minion Cafe and film-inspired merchandise.
CityWalk Experiences this Summer
At CityWalk, Universal Cinemark will host a Summer Movie Series on select dates from June 20 through Aug. 26, screening films including “Back to the Future,” “Jaws,” “The Mummy” and “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.”
The summer lineup also brings back recurring entertainment offerings, including the Universal Mega Movie Parade, which features floats and performances themed to franchises such as “E.T.,” “Back to the Future,” “Jaws,” “Ghostbusters,” “Jurassic World,” and DreamWorks Animation properties.
Nighttime programming includes “CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular” and the returning “Hogwarts Always” projection show in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade beginning May 30.
Universal CityWalk will also host additional summer programming, including live music performances on Saturday nights from June 20 through Aug. 15, and FIFA World Cup matches at NBC Sports Grill & Brew from June 11 through July 19.
The resort’s Fourth of July celebrations will include DJs, character appearances and pyrotechnic displays throughout the destination.
Universal Orlando is pairing the seasonal programming with ticket promotions targeting both Florida residents and international travelers, including multi-day ticket offers and discounted hotel rates at participating resort properties.
