As stay-at-home orders are rescinded, FAMs for travel advisors are once again a possibility like this trip to Italy. From May 24-30, 2021 and October 4-10, 2021, this Blue Walk Italy FAM will focus on Umbria.
Rates are $1395 based on double occupancy for this Umbria FAM. A single supplement is $275. A companion supplement is an additional $100; and agents can bring one guest at this rate.
This Wine and Culinary tour through the Umbrian countryside will consist of six nights in the heart of the historic center of the Etruscan city of Orvieto. Daily walks include visits to Civita di Bagnoregio (the Dying City), guided tour of nearby Etruscan tombs, visits to an estate winery, an olive oil museum and Lake Bolsena.
Along the way, local specialties and food of the region will be highlighted. The farewell lunch will include an antipasto, housemade pasta, main dishes and locally produced wines. Traditional, handmade, award winning, and organic, the cheeses and charcuterie offered here are all made on property. Experience passionate artisans, lovingly prepared food, and a most memorable meal followed by a tour of the sheep and goat milking process.
The FAM includes six nights in a four-star hotel in Orvieto’s historic center, daily breakfast, an orientation walk in Orvieto, a countryside walk near Lubriano, an Etruscan tomb visit with a local, archaeologist guide, a winery tour with the owner/winemaker , wine tasting and artisan cheese tasting, a welcome dinner, a walk through the countryside and olive groves near Montecchio, a guided visit of an olive oil museum, a tasting with wines, local meats and cheeses, and bruschetta, a visit to Civita di Bagnoregio with a local guide, an optional cooking class in Orvieto, a Bolsena lakeside walk, a cheese farm visit and farewell lunch.
Blue Walk is also offering 15 percent commission on 2021 tours if booked before September 1, 2020.
