Variety has revealed that The White Lotus’ next filming location will be the Chateau de La Messardiere in the hills of St. Tropez, along France’s Cote d’Azur.
This 19th-century palace, which was built as a wedding gift by a wealthy cognac merchant to his daughter and her husband, is set within 32 acres that overflow with parasol pines, cypress trees and jasmine. By the 1920s, the chateau had been converted into a hotel and became the place to see and be seen for the Parisian aristocracy.
The hotel, part of the uber-luxe Airelles collection, offers 86 rooms and suites; several F&B venues, including La Table de la Messardiere, featuring a panoramic terrace; the 10,000+-sf Airelles Spa by Valmont, with an indoor adults-only swimming pool, nine treatment rooms, a hammam, sauna and fitness center; and a beach club on the shores of Pampelonne Bay, among other goodies.
Although your clients might not necessarily want a “White Lotus” moment—those can get so messy—they’ll definitely want to dive into the hotel’s myriad experiences, including a guided tour of the kitchen garden, baking a tarte Tropezienne, enjoying time at the outdoor cinema or simply exploring St. Tropez’s Butterfly Museum.
We can’t wait to see the stunning Chateau de La Messardiere splash across our “small screen.”
