Viking Ocean Cruises has announced that its fourth ship, Viking Sun, will spend her maiden season sailing the company’s first-ever World Cruise departing December 2017. The 141-day journey from Miami to London visits five continents, 35 countries and 66 ports with 12 port overnights, allowing guests to explore Cuba and the Caribbean; sail the Panama Canal and the South Pacific; explore Asia from Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh City; and see the Arabian, Red and Mediterranean seas, before concluding in the North Atlantic.

World Cruise guests will enjoy a complimentary shore excursion in each of the 66 ports, complimentary WiFi and Business Class airfare, as well as added-value inclusions in their cruise fare. While on board the 930-passenger ship, guests can connect to their destinations through Viking’s Culture Curriculum, which features lectures on history and art, vintage wine tasting from destinations in the itinerary, and restaurant menus inspired by local cuisine, plus informative port talks, an onboard cooking school and destination performances featuring folkloric shows and musicians playing regional and classical music. Rates for the World Cruise start at $44,999 pp, and include Business Class air, transfers to and from the ship, Viking’s Silver Spirits beverage package, and all medical services.
