In the next two years, Tauck plans to double its family river cruising capacity and increase its family river cruise departures to 20 dates. A new ship, designed specifically for families, will be the fourth vessel to join the company’s collection of Tauck Bridges family journeys in 2017. Tauck Bridges river cruises launched its first itinerary the Blue Danube: Family Riverboat Adventure in 2010; since then it has expanded its offerings to include the Castles on the Rhine: Family Riverboat Adventure and Bon Voyage! France Family River Cruise itineraries. While Dan Mahar, Tauck’s CEO, would not divulge on the specifics of the new cruise, he did say that the new ship will sail through a European waterway.

To give guests an idea of what the new itinerary could look like, Mahar noted the family-friendly activities already included in Tauck’s current itineraries, including a scavenger hunt in the Louvre in Paris; hands-on mock medieval games in Bratislava, Slovakia; and a guided cycling exploration near Durnstein, Austria.
